The corner spot on the Plaza

The corner spot with the gold-leaf awning on the Plaza has been filling up since early morning for years now. Original mullioned windows let in that goldenrod SoCal light while La Marzocco machines hiss behind oak-paneled counters.

Baristas in chambray aprons know the regulars by drink order. It's the kind of place where you come for the pistachio latte and end up staying through a second round of hot chocolate with the kids.

How much should I expect to spend on breakfast?

Most breakfast plates run $12 to $16. A latte is around $6 to $7.50 depending on size and add-ons. Not cheap, but the portions are real and the ingredients are worth it.

Is it good for kids?
